Holiday Pie Sale Sponsored by Newbegun UMC - Tuesday & Wednesday 11/24 & 25th

Newbegun UMC announces their 17th Annual Pie and Cookbook sale on Tuesday & Wednesday, the 24th & 25th of November 2009 from  8 AM - 1 PM!  Please come, buy, and enjoy their fresh homemade pies or purchase cook books!

 

If you would like to make life a little bit easier for the cook in the family, you can purchase a freshly baked, homemade pumpkin, apple, pecan, etc ... pie or cake from the extremely talented bakers of Newbegun UMC this Tuesday and Wednesday, from 8 am - 1 pm at the old farmers market off Ehringhaus Street, just a block away from the District office, in Elizabeth City.  This is their 17th year!  You may also want to purchase a cook book celebrating 225 years of Christian hospitality and cooking at the same time.

 

Pies start at $8.00 and the cookbook is $10.00.  They make excellent holiday gifts for both Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Gates County Mobile Food Pantry

date and time: Thursday November 19th 5:00 pm

The Food Bank of the Albemarle, the North Gates Charge MFP and Churches of Gates County are sponsoring a Mobile Food Pantry grocery distribution. Free groceries to the first 175 families. Must have an ID showing Gates County residency and one distribution per family. Bring boxes or containers to carry food home. For information call Pastor Mike Askew at 333-8811. Volunteers and sponsors are needed.

        Come join the African staff who are in our district at the Outer Banks.

ZOE Ministry invites you to join them for breakfast anytime from 8:00 to 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 11, tomorrow morning.   The two key staff people leading their empowerment ministry, Giving Hope, will be present, Epiphanie Mujawimana from Rwanda and Reegan Kaberia from Kenya.
