You are welcome to come and enjoy a BARBECUE SANDWICH PLATE fundraiser on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 11 AM – 2 PM at Grace UMC. The plate includes BBQ on a bun, coleslaw, baked beans, chips, and drink for $5.00 each.

The Food Bank of the Albemarle, the North Gates Charge MFP and Churches of Gates County are sponsoring a Mobile Food Pantry grocery distribution. Free groceries to the first 175 families. Must have an ID showing Gates County residency and one distribution per family. Bring boxes or containers to carry food home. For information call Pastor Mike Askew at 333-8811. Volunteers and sponsors are needed.

Good $ense at Hertford UMC

On Sunday, March 22nd and 29th, Jim Metzner of the Methodist Foundation will be at Hertford UMC to teach a Good Sense workshop. This is normally a six hour course but will be offered in two afternoons beginning at 2:00p.m. There is a $20 charge for the workbook which can be shared with a spouse. This course is about managing personal finances from a Christian point of view in this tough economy. Please call the Hertford UMC church office for more information and/or to register 252-426-5467.
