Welcome, friends!
Mount Hermon UMC is sponsoring a Sing-a-Long and Choir Event on the evening of Sunday, May 24th at 7 PM. We've got some guest musicians coming in, and we hope to hear some choir music and do some Arminian sing-by-request. So think of a song you haven't sung in a long time or that you'd like to sing again. One of the guests is a talented accordian player from Raleigh. So if you want to bring your polka shoes, we'll clear out a place up front to dance. The other is an organist/pianist from Florida who was, before he retired, the organist for that conference.
We will, as is our United Methodist practice, gather for food and drink after the benediction. If last time is any indication, the music may start up again in the fellowship hall. We realize that this is short notice, but the opportunity just recently arose. We'd like to invite the congregation and friends of your church to an evening of music.
To get to Mount Hermon UMC, take 17 to Okisko Road, near where the bypass connects west of Elizabeth City. At the top of the overpass, turn left and make a right onto Methodist Church Road (693 Methodist Church Road, Elizabeth City, NC). You can see it just beyond the wheat field.
