Updated Charge Conference Information
2.) You no longer have to provide the following two forms, “The Congregation’s Witness Beyond the Walls” and “Institutional Ministry Support”, for your charge conferences.
3.) The last of the prep paperwork for each church for the charge conferences will be mailed this week. Let me know if you did not get yours by the end of next week and I can put together another packet to mail to you. If you have any problems with using your PCs to access the online databases, I am in the office Monday – Thursday and can arrange for you to use one of our PC’s to enter the data. I’ll help in any way I can. Just let me know.

District Council on Ministries: August 20
Greetings dear friends in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
I hope your summer has gone well and that you are gearing up for the fall schedule. I am emailing to remind you that we have a meeting on Wednesday, August 20 at the Riverside UMC in Elizabeth City at 10:00 a.m. I would like your input on an agenda, and also want you to know that we will seriously ask and seek to answer the question "Why are we here?" Which is to say that we need to consider who we are, what we do, and whether the DCOM model effectively enable us to do ministry together as a district.
Let me hear back from you, I expect the meeting to last until mid-afternoon. Yes indeed, lunch will be provided!
I look forward to being with you and pray that God will guide us as we work together in the Connection.
With you in Christ,
