In the last issue of the newsletter, Belton wrote “It doesn’t take long to learn to love this place, these people.” To that, Mary-Ellen and I say “amen.” The welcome we have received – the calls, the meal, the hospitality – has made it easy for us quickly to call Elizabeth City home. We thank you for all that you have done to make us welcome and we look forward to our time of ministry among and with you here. May God’s blessings of grace and peace be with you as you serve in Christ’s name.

Newsletter: Thanks #4
Last Thursday (June 26) was also Moving Day – for the District Office. We are grateful for Mike and Michael Askew, Scott and Thomas Wilson-Parsons, and Arthur Warren who showed up with willing spirits and strong backs to help a feeble D.S. and a weary Administrative Assistant relocate.
New Office
Speaking of (the new office that is), you will find us now in varying degrees of “settledness” at 1100B Ehringhaus in Elizabeth City (in the back of the Long and Foster Realty Building, near the post office, and convenient to any number of places that vend breakfast biscuits!). Location has changed, phone numbers and e-mails remain the same.
Phone Number and Email
Speaking of (phone numbers and e-mails that is), should you need to contact Carl, his cell number is 252-333-2574 and his e-mail is cfrazier@nccumc.org. He’ll be happy to hear from you even before the set-up meeting.
Setup Meeting
Speaking of (the set-up meeting that is), just a reminder that our District Set-Up Meeting is Tuesday, July 8, at 6 p.m. at Edenton United Methodist Church. Originally advertised as a covered dish event, the meal has been modified to a catered affair (black tie very optional, jeans preferred). We do need something of a head count so that the District does not “overbook” meals. Please let us know in the District Office by July 2 how many from your family will be attending. If you are not going to be present, we must know so that we may get materials to you. Our primary agenda for the evening will be fellowship, “get to know you,” and worship (although a brief time of business will be necessary ). Come and help us welcome our new families to the district.
